Jisun: type of media that influences me the most, Television

The type of media that has the most impact on my life is television. Television gets immensely absorbed into people’s minds and hearts by providing both visual and sound effects, hence, satisfying the needs that other media such as radio or newspaper cannot offer. However, personally, this vitality often creates negative influence. Television does present a lot of profanity and violence. Therefore, by watching TV, I often see myself change my values and personality around.
One of the biggest problems that I encountered by watching TV was that some of the TV shows from MTV and Vh1, generate an unhealthy image of female by promoting the audience to meet the media’s ideal body or face image and showing celebrities partying and doing drugs which some children would unfortunately idolize about. Although, it provides insightful information and news, especially for children and young adults, bad and shocking visuals tend to compel them. Thus, I believe that television influences me the most and all of us in the world, sadly and most likely in negative ways than positive ways.
