Mass Media: Newspaper

A newspaper is a (often daily) periodical which can be widely distributed and circulated. It contains a journal of current news in a variety topics, including politics, crime, sports, weather, and entertainment.

A newspaper's number-one goal is to inform the mass what had happened everyday. The audience therefore is the general public, so a newspaper must not be esoteric but must be able to appeal to people of every class. A newspaper has been the primary source for the public to get informed, thus it plays a significant role in forming the mass opinion. Bearing this huge responsiblity, it is essential for a newspaper to be unbiased and objective.
